This was on the evening of December 24th, and those of us who went out were a first cousin and me who get along really well, we were just hanging out and I thought of doing a ponytail since my cousin is bald hehe.

My mom, who was born and currently lives in Jamaica had never experienced winter weather before. She spent the holidays with me and my husband in West Hartford, Connecticut. We got over 8 inches of snow and during the snowfall, I recorded her reaction seeing snow for the very first time at 63 years old.

A few days before Christmas, my husband and I were traveling through the airport on our way to Florida when something magical happened. I was feeling anxious about flying after a long year, when suddenly Buddy the Elf and Jovie appeared out of nowhere. At first we thought it was just airport noise, until we turned around and realized they were fully in character and spreading Christmas cheer. Every year for Christmas I prank my parents. It gives everyone a good laugh and memories. This year, I bought a 500 piece puzzle and wrapped every single piece for them to open. It took about 6 hours but worth it!

My toddler decided to get a banana off of the counter. He pushed a chair so he could climb. He changed his mind on the banana and climbed down. He got stuck on his journey down. I started recording as soon as I heard "I stuck!" Because I knew it was gonna be good. Credit: @noahbeandip

We had a problem with the stroller getting stuck in the snow, so I made a snow plow to fix it. I thought it was a fun idea and made a video of it.

We all work together at a salon called Oliver and Company in Gainesville, GA. For our work party, we played White Elephant with a “regift” theme — meaning spend $0. I’ve had a couple of traffic cones sitting in my garage for years and wanted them gone, so I wrapped those up (don’t worry, they’re not stolen). Yes, its likely the fastest and most efficient form of transportation, especially when you need to get to a destination quickly. However, if someone were ever to develop another form of travel that was just as or almost as efficient as flying, it would soon put the airline industry out of business. Air travel, for the most part, is a big hassle and headache. The TSA is constantly changing its safety regulations and procedures, and they can and do often vary from one airport to the next. Do I need to take my shoes off? Do I need to take my belt off? Can my electronics be left in the bag or do they need to be taken out and placed in their own, separate bin? It's just one headache after another when flying. Nate is well aware of the frustrations of air travel. In a clip posted on YouTube, he mentioned a very minor situation that airport security made a huge deal about. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. Once I was checking a bag, and the guy behind the counter sees my ticket says, Nathan, he said. The license says, Nathaniel, and he was, like, This is not good. He goes, These names dont match. Nate tried to help with the dilemma. And I was, like, But they match, right? Like, you can see the leap we took to get from one to the other? he said. Later in the clip, Nate tried once again to help the man who was confused about the three different names. I said, Look, Ill give you that those names dont match, he said. But what I think is going to help a ton is the picture on the ID. Something that Ive always loved that they did, and I think, with 70 percent of that name matching, and 100 percent face, its 170 percent. I think Ill get through. Going through security and getting on the plane is only half the fun (heavy sarcasm), but that is before the actual flight, which can also be pretty eventful. He mentioned what happened when he flew with a friend who did the Sign of the Cross before takeoff. He asked his friend whether that was for everyone on the plane or just him, because that could make for an awkward situation if disaster were to strike. Im like, When youre doing it, are you praying for everybody? he asked. He goes, Of course. I go, You better be. Cause thatd be weird, wouldnt it? This plane goes down and everybodys dead and on fire in a cornfield, except for you just sitting there: Oh, I should have prayed for everybody. I made a giant mistake. Theres going to be a lot of questions when the authorities arrive. The funnyman, Michael McIntyre, brought attention to something that everyone has encountered at one time or another, and hell have you doubled over with laughter. Watch the short but terribly funny clip to hear the comedian talk about this peculiarity of the English language. It's been said that English is one of the hardest languages to learn. It makes sense, right? Youve likely been speaking it and writing it your entire life, and there are probably still several things about it that still confuse and confound you. This is after being required to take English throughout school. One of the big reasons it is such a challenging language to understand is that English has all kinds of rules. However, there are also exceptions to every rule you were taught in English class. Admittedly, this can be tough for students to comprehend. But one of the strangest and most inexplicable quirks of the English language is the widespread use of letters that seemingly have no business being in a handful of words, simply because they are silent. Hilariously, he points out some of the common words that we say that have silent letters attached to them, pronouncing them as if those letters were given a voice. Additionally, Michael proposes adding a new holiday to the calendar, which he would call Silent Letter Day. Of course, on Silent Letter Day, everyone says and celebrates the many different words with unused letters. In a matter of moments, Michael will have you, much like the studio audience, doubled over and laughing deliriously. You likely will not be able to look at some words ever the same without thinking of Michaels hysterical bit on silent letters. The funnyman, Gabriel Rutledge, isnt sure exactly why the massive online retailer sent this to him, but he knew it was time to start losing weight when this happened. There are a lot of people who would be considered overweight, with some who would even be classified as obese. However, most, if were being honest, could stand to drop some pounds. Do we really need that second piece of cheesecake? Wasnt one already enough? Perhaps, instead of scrolling Facebook for an hour, taking a walk might be a good idea. While losing weight is something we know we ought to do, oftentimes finding the motivation to get started is an entirely different story. Its much easier to sit and watch television than it is to run on the treadmill. Going to the gym isnt much fun, especially when wed rather be going out to eat. When it came to finding motivation to lose weight, Gabriel didnt have to look for it; it landed in his inbox. Amazon inadvertently gave him the push to start dropping weight in the most unexpectedly hilarious way. This is how I got motivated to lose weight; it was a weird way, he said. I got an email from Amazon, and the email said, Based on your recent activity, we thought you might be interested in this. And it was a picture of a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos. He added that, while he had never had a bag of chips delivered to his house before, he had an idea of why that particular item was suggested to him. I think its because I ordered an extra-large shirt, and then I returned it, and exchanged it for a double extra-large shirt, he said. Seriously, every other subject throughout school was a breeze, but when it came to math, that was a totally different story. So, when Nate complains about his daughters math homework, I understand entirely, and I bet a lot of other people do as well. I mean, unless youre doing a lot of everyday functions and tasks that require numbers and mathematical functions. She brought home Common Core math, he said. Thats fun. Its a new math they invented. No heads up, just give it to parents who never learned it. Later in the clip, Nate explained to the audience the specific end goal of this new kind of mathematical system. And the goal of Common Core is to use one sheet of paper for every problem, he said. You just want to keep breaking the problem down. You put the problem at the top, and it just keeps going.
