The music of Christian artists for King & Country, Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, and Steven Curtis Chapman have found new outlets to broadcast into the culture.
A Week Away is a Netflix production; a family-friendly, lightly faith-based movie, made in the style of Highschool Musical. Common Sense Media calls A Week Away "a camp-set Christian musical with messages about following rules, fitting in, and leaning on your faith to help with life's struggles."
While not specifically a Christian film (Jesus is only mentioned once in the movie), the marketing to the faith community was deliberate. Netflix inserted new mixes of iconic Christian songs from for King & Country, Michael W Smith, Amy Grant, and Steven Curtis Chapman.
As of this writing, the movie trailer video has received close to 1.5 million views.
